This sublime coffee table by Joaquim Tenreiro came to us from an old-time partner, a merchant and collector with long years of experience, and an irreproachable taste…
As portrayed in the book Tenreiro by Soraia Cals, the table belonged to the Bologna family. Francisco Bologna was a renowned architect who worked with Tenreiro in several projects during the 50s & 60s. From their collaboration emerged unique pieces like the trunk table and bench, inspired by native traditional decorative expressions and materials.
The table is masterfully assembled from two slats of Vinhatico wood, displayed at their full splendor of caramel and brown pattern. Despite its large dimensions, its floats in the room, exuding warmth and conviviality, an invitation to the eyes and touch.
