Oxford lounge chairs with ottoman by Jorge Zalszupin, Sao Paulo, Brazil, 1973

The Oxford lounge chair was part of the 1973’s office furniture collection, the last one after Forsa group bought L’Atelier. With the new partner, Jorge Zalszupin needs to design pieces that used the technologies of the Forsa group, namely chromed steel, fiberglass and injected plastics. The iconic Commander chair is the perfect example of this change in the Zalszupin production. Using the same steel base of the Senior armchairs, the Oxford was designed to supply the demand of office lounge chairs in the corporate market, mainly in Sao Paulo and Brasilia.
