C.Henrique wall drawers by Sergio Rodrigues for Oca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, mid 60's

In 1962, Sergio Rodrigues designed the interiors of the Luxor Hotel em Sao Paulo. The designer created an entire line of bedroom furniture, which was later commercialized by Oca from 1965 to 68. Even if most consider the Luxor Bed - made in Rosewood - as the masterpiece of this collection, the most famous piece is definitely the George Nelson mural shelf. Others pieces of the collection include the small Rangel desk, and the Carlos Henrique mural shelf with drawers which were used as side table, desk drawer or dressing table. The model displayed here is the dressing table variation, and was originally paired with the Azen mirror, in a beautiful apartment in Rio entirelly decorated in 1966.
